Mindbody Pricing (2026): Plans, Fees, and Is It Worth the Cost?

Mindbody doesn’t publish pricing on their website anymore: they want you on a sales call first. That’s never a great sign for budget-conscious studio owners. But the numbers are out there, and I’ve gathered current pricing from studios actively using the platform in 2026.

📅 Pricing last verified: June 2026. We check and update pricing quarterly. If you notice a change, email us.

Here’s every plan, every fee, and an honest take on whether the cost is justified.

The Four Plans

Starter: $139/month

This is Mindbody’s entry point, and it covers the basics most small studios need:

  • Class and appointment scheduling
  • Online booking (via Mindbody widget or your website)
  • Payment processing and automated billing
  • Basic client management and profiles
  • Staff scheduling
  • Mindbody marketplace listing (included)
  • Basic reporting (revenue, attendance, retention)

At $139/month, you’re paying more than Vagaro’s full-featured plan ($80–$90/month) for roughly the same core functionality. What you’re really paying for at this tier is access to the Mindbody ecosystem and marketplace.

The Starter plan does NOT include:

  • Marketing automation
  • Advanced branded web tools
  • AI-powered insights
  • Custom reporting
  • Dedicated support

For a studio with under 100 members that just needs scheduling and payments, this plan works. But you’ll feel the limitations quickly if you’re trying to grow.

Accelerate: $279/month

This is where most growing studios land. Everything in Starter plus:

  • Automated marketing campaigns (email and SMS)
  • Smart contact lists and client segmentation
  • Branded web tools (customized booking pages, schedule widgets)
  • Dynamic pricing tools
  • Client acquisition reporting
  • Revenue forecasting
  • Enhanced staff management

The jump from $139 to $279 is significant: you’re paying $140/month more for marketing tools and branded web features. If you’re already using Mailchimp or another email platform, the marketing overlap might not justify the upgrade.

But if you’re NOT doing any automated marketing yet, Mindbody’s built-in tools at this tier are genuinely good. Automated “we miss you” emails, birthday offers, and class reminder sequences are proven to reduce churn. Studios report 5–15% improvement in retention after implementing these automations.

Ultimate: $499/month

For established studios ready to optimize operations with data and AI:

  • Everything in Accelerate
  • AI-powered business insights and recommendations
  • Advanced reporting dashboards (retention cohorts, lifetime value, revenue per class)
  • Staff performance analytics
  • Predictive scheduling (AI suggests class times based on demand)
  • Advanced inventory management
  • Custom integrations via API access

At $499/month, you’re paying $220/month more than Accelerate for AI tools and advanced analytics. The honest question: does your studio have enough data and complexity to benefit from AI recommendations? If you’re running 5 classes/day across multiple rooms with 300+ active members, probably yes. If you’re a 50-member yoga studio, probably no.

Ultimate Plus: $699/month

The enterprise tier adds:

  • Everything in Ultimate
  • Dedicated account manager
  • Priority support (faster response times)
  • Custom onboarding and training
  • Strategic business reviews (quarterly)
  • Advanced multi-location tools

The extra $200/month over Ultimate is primarily buying you a human: a dedicated account manager who knows your business and can help you optimize the platform. For multi-location businesses or studios doing $50K+/month in revenue, this relationship can genuinely pay for itself through better platform utilization.

For single-location studios, it’s almost never worth the jump. The features are identical to Ultimate: you’re paying for priority access to a person.

Payment Processing: 2.75% Flat

Mindbody uses a flat-rate processing model: 2.75% on every transaction, regardless of card type or whether it’s in-person or online. No per-transaction cent fee.

ComparisonRate$20K/mo cost
Mindbody2.75% flat$550
Vagaro2.2% + 19¢$459
Square2.6% + 10¢$536
Stripe (reference)2.9% + 30¢$616

Mindbody’s rate is simple but not the cheapest. Over a year at $20,000/month in processing, you’re paying about $1,100 more than you would with Vagaro. At $50,000/month, that gap grows to $2,750/year.

You cannot bring your own payment processor. Mindbody requires their integrated processing for all transactions.

The Branded App: $199/month Extra

This is where Mindbody’s pricing gets frustrating. A branded mobile app (your logo, your colors, your app store listing) costs $199/month on top of your plan. That’s $2,388/year for what Glofox includes for free.

The app is genuinely good: clean design, push notifications, easy booking, stored payment methods. Members who use the app book 40% more classes than those who book via website. But $199/month is a hard pill to swallow when competitors include it.

If you’re on the Accelerate plan ($279) and add the branded app ($199), you’re at $478/month in software before processing fees. That’s approaching Mindbody Ultimate territory: at which point you might as well upgrade.

Is Mindbody Worth It? An Honest Assessment

Yes, if:

  • You’re in a competitive urban market where the Mindbody marketplace drives client discovery
  • You have 200+ active members and need sophisticated retention/marketing tools
  • You operate multiple locations and need centralized management
  • You’re already established and the cost is a manageable percentage of revenue (under 5%)
  • You value having a single integrated platform over stitching together multiple tools

No, if:

  • You’re a new studio watching every dollar
  • You have under 100 members and simple scheduling needs
  • You’re in a suburban or rural area where the marketplace has low traffic
  • You’d be spending more than 5–7% of revenue on software
  • You’re a solo personal trainer or very small operation

When to Consider Vagaro or Glofox Instead

Choose Vagaro when: Budget is the priority. You need scheduling, payments, and basic member management without the premium price tag. You’re a solo trainer or small studio with under 100 members. You want the lowest processing rates. The $30–$90/month range covers most small studio needs.

Choose Glofox when: You want a branded app included in your plan (saves $199/month vs. Mindbody). You’re a boutique studio that prioritizes member experience. You have 50–300 members and need professional features without enterprise pricing. The $100–$250/month range hits the sweet spot for mid-size boutique operations.

Stick with Mindbody when: The marketplace is driving real client acquisition for you. You need the deepest feature set available. You’re established enough that the premium is a small percentage of revenue.

FAQ

Can I downgrade my Mindbody plan after signing up? Yes, you can downgrade at any time with 30 days’ notice. However, you’ll lose access to features on the higher tier immediately upon downgrade. Some studios report that Mindbody’s retention team will offer discounts or temporary rate locks to prevent downgrades: always worth asking.

Is there a contract or can I cancel monthly? Mindbody operates on month-to-month terms for most plans. There’s no annual contract required (though they offer discounts for annual prepayment). You can cancel with 30 days’ notice. However, some promotional rates or onboarding deals may have minimum term requirements: read the fine print.

Does Mindbody charge setup or onboarding fees? Standard onboarding is included with all plans. However, custom data migration (from another platform), advanced integrations setup, or expedited onboarding may incur one-time fees ranging from $200–$1,000 depending on complexity. Ask specifically about migration costs before signing.

How does the Mindbody marketplace actually work for my business? Your studio automatically appears in the Mindbody consumer app (available on iOS and Android). Users searching for fitness classes near their location can discover your studio, view your schedule, and book directly. You get full client details for anyone who books through the marketplace. There’s no additional per-booking commission: it’s included in your subscription.

Can I negotiate Mindbody’s pricing? Yes, especially at renewal time or if you’re a multi-location business. Studios report successfully negotiating 10–20% discounts, free months, waived add-on fees, or reduced processing rates. The end of Mindbody’s fiscal quarters (March, June, September, December) tends to be the best time to negotiate as sales teams push to hit targets.
