SalesTarget.ai vs Apollo: Prospecting, Outreach, CRM and Total Cost
Disclosure: We may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this page.
Apollo links are ordinary official links. This comparison is based on vendor documentation, not hands-on campaign tests.
SalesTarget.ai and Apollo both address the problem of moving from prospect data to sales activity without stitching together every step manually. SalesTarget describes an integrated prospecting, outreach and CRM platform. Apollo documents a broader sales workspace with data, engagement, integrations and automation. Neither vendor’s feature list establishes better lead quality or deliverability for your audience.
The right choice depends on the required workflow and its complete cost. If you already use Apollo successfully, the existence of another integrated platform is not a reason to migrate. If you are assembling a new stack, compare both using the same prospect sample, required actions and budget.
This is a product-pair decision page. For the category shortlist, use sales engagement platforms for startups. For the broader stack, use sales tools by function. Those pages answer different questions and should not become duplicates of this comparison.
Quick Decision Table
| Buyer question | SalesTarget.ai | Apollo |
|---|---|---|
| Prospect search and enrichment | Lead Explorer and enrichment documented | Data search and waterfall enrichment documented |
| Email execution | Sequences, inbox management and rotation described | Sequencing and deliverability tooling described |
| LinkedIn workflow | Automated connections, messages and follow-ups advertised | Extension and LinkedIn-linked workflow; do not assume identical autonomous actions |
| CRM and calling | Built-in CRM and dialer advertised | Sales workspace, deal management and dialer documented |
| AI assistance | Copilot for outreach and campaign work | Assistant, research and writing features documented |
| Price comparison | Public package prices, with volume and account limits | Exact current paid-plan quote needs verification; pricing table did not render during our check |
| Proven campaign winner | Not established | Not established |
These are documented categories, not scored test results. Feature availability can depend on plan, workspace and configuration.
Prospect Database, Search and Filtering
Database size is a poor shortcut for choosing a prospecting tool. A database can be large and still have limited coverage for a particular job title, country or niche. Vendor profile totals also need not use the same definition, so this comparison does not award a winner based on headline counts.
SalesTarget’s Lead Explorer describes company and contact discovery, enrichment and movement into outreach or CRM. Its company-search instructions describe firmographic filtering and business events. Apollo’s data product documents its own prospecting environment.
Build one test brief: target geography, company size, buyer role, exclusions and an observable reason to contact the company. Ask each tool for a comparable sample. Inspect whether companies actually match the criteria. Our B2B prospecting guide explains why the ideal customer profile must come before list generation.
Enrichment and Data-Quality Caveats
Do not confuse finding a contact with obtaining a usable record. Evaluate current employer, role, contactability and fit separately. Check how missing information is represented and whether a failed lookup consumes credits.
Apollo’s credit documentation identifies multiple credit-consuming activities, including contact data, enrichment, AI research and certain calling or email-infrastructure actions. The exact rates depend on the workspace and plan.
For SalesTarget, inspect which data fields the chosen enrichment action returns and what the package’s credits actually buy. Do not assume one credit has the same value across products. Ask whether a repeated lookup, refresh or export incurs another charge.
We have not independently validated either database. Vendor verification labels are not a guarantee that every address will deliver or every phone number will reach the right person.
Email Outreach and Deliverability
SalesTarget’s platform overview describes email campaigns and related CRM workflows. Apollo documents sequencing and integrations on its pricing page. Both require a responsible sending process.
Warm-up, inbox rotation and personalization are tools, not immunity from spam filtering. Authentication, list quality, relevance, complaint rates and recipient expectations still matter. Do not buy based on a theoretical maximum send volume.
Use a conservative pilot and the same audience definition. Track bounces, positive replies, complaints, unsubscribes and qualified meetings. Open rates alone are not a reliable business result. Our email-deliverability guide provides the operational context.
LinkedIn Automation Is Not the Same as LinkedIn Assistance
SalesTarget explicitly markets LinkedIn automation. Apollo’s documented extension and LinkedIn-connected workflows should not automatically be described as identical autonomous messaging capability. List the actual actions you need rather than checking a generic multichannel box.
Automated interaction can create platform-policy and account risks. A vendor’s availability of an action does not establish that LinkedIn authorizes it. Keep research and message drafting separate from permission to send. If your business cannot tolerate account restrictions, manual outreach may be the appropriate choice.
See AI LinkedIn outreach for a human-reviewed approach. Neither a sequence builder nor an AI writer removes the need for relevance and consent handling.
CRM, Dialer and Integration Fit
SalesTarget advertises built-in CRM and calling. Apollo documents deal management, integrations and its dialer. Decide whether you want a sales workspace or a replacement for an established system of record. Those are different purchases.
Map contacts, companies, owners, activities and deal stages before migrating. Check duplicates, field mapping and two-way updates. A native CRM can reduce exports while still lacking the reporting, governance or permissions your current CRM provides.
For calling, verify number availability, regional coverage, usage charging and recording controls. Do not assume a dialer entitlement includes all phone data or call minutes. If calling is central, use a separate acceptance test rather than treating it as a free bonus.
AI Copilots and Workflow Automation
An assistant that drafts a sequence is not necessarily an agent that can safely execute it. Ask what each product can read, change and send; where approvals occur; and whether a user can inspect the action history.
Use AI for bounded tasks first: summarizing a prospect, proposing a message or identifying missing data. Keep people responsible for factual claims and sensitive responses. Measure review time as part of cost, not an invisible overhead.
If you want autonomous top-of-funnel workflows, compare that requirement with our AI SDR workflow guide. Do not infer autonomy from the word copilot.
Pricing Snapshot and Verification Limits
The SalesTarget pricing page displayed the following monthly package cards on September 18, 2026:
| Displayed package | Monthly price | Listed volume / account limits |
|---|---|---|
| Growth | $169 | 5,000 monthly emails, 2,000 enrichment credits, one LinkedIn automation allowance |
| Scale | $319 | 100,000 monthly emails, 4,000 enrichment credits, two LinkedIn automation allowances |
| Ultimate | $679 | 500,000 monthly emails, 6,000 enrichment credits, three LinkedIn automation allowances |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Confirm exact entitlements and terms |
The page has separate product/package groups, a yearly toggle and FAQ references to other package names. Treat these as a snapshot of the displayed monthly cards, not the minimum cost of every product module. Confirm the selected bundle, included users and account allowance before purchase. The trial description lists 50 Lead Explorer credits and exploratory access to outreach/CRM, not unrestricted permanent free usage.
Apollo paid prices are not independently confirmed in this comparison. Its current official pricing page loaded, but the paid-plan table was not visible in either the extracted page or our browser check. We therefore do not recycle the $49/$79/$119 figures from older articles as today’s quote. Obtain the current plan, billing period, seat count and credit allocation directly from Apollo.
Apollo’s visible pricing documentation distinguishes trial access, a free Starter option, credit systems and custom enterprise needs. Do not assume an older account and a new account have identical entitlements. The Apollo pricing guide provides additional context, but the current vendor quote should govern your purchase.
Compare Total Cost, Not Subscription Headlines
Use the same budget worksheet for both vendors:
| Cost component | What to obtain |
|---|---|
| Subscription | Selected plan, billing period and cancellation terms |
| People and accounts | Seats, inboxes and LinkedIn allowances |
| Data | Credits needed for usable contacts and refreshes |
| Sending infrastructure | Domains, mailboxes and additional tools |
| Calling | Numbers, data and connected-call usage |
| Implementation | Setup, migration and integration maintenance |
| Review | Time spent correcting records and approving outreach |
Total cost is the sum of those applicable components. Do not manufacture a savings percentage without comparing real quotes and matching workloads. Fewer tools can mean fewer handoffs; it does not automatically mean a cheaper or stronger sales process.
Best Fit by Use Case
Keep or shortlist Apollo when your team already relies on its data, integrations and workspace. A functioning workflow has switching value. SalesTarget must demonstrate a meaningful improvement before migration becomes worthwhile.
Evaluate SalesTarget when its combination of prospecting, outreach and CRM matches a new team’s required process. Confirm that the relevant package includes the actual actions, accounts and volumes you need.
Choose neither automatically if you only need a specialist email sender, already have a robust CRM, or cannot accept LinkedIn automation risk. The general sales-engagement guide offers category alternatives.
Our research-based verdict is deliberately not a performance ranking. Run a small, equivalent pilot and choose based on usable data, workflow reliability, total cost and human control. Affiliate commission does not make SalesTarget the winner.
FAQ
Is SalesTarget.ai better than Apollo?
This research does not establish that. Compare your audience coverage, required workflow and total cost using equivalent pilot conditions.
Which has better lead quality?
We have not independently tested either dataset. Inspect relevant records and measure usable contacts rather than relying on database size.
Does SalesTarget replace a separate CRM?
It advertises built-in CRM. Confirm permissions, reporting, integrations and migration needs before replacing your existing system of record.
Why are exact Apollo paid prices not listed?
The current vendor paid-plan table did not render during verification. Repeating older figures as current would create false precision.
Does built-in warm-up guarantee delivery?
No. Deliverability depends on the sending setup, list quality, message relevance and recipient response, not simply the presence of a warm-up feature.
